Encouraging Results For The New Intrepid World.
Intrepid and Lascom motorsport have combined with each other to produce what looks to be one of the fastest karts on the Yamaha grid for the 2009 karting season.
With only two events under its belt the Intrepid World proved more than competitive with only two chassis competing, one in junior yamaha and the other in Yamaha senior lights.
Both qualified in second spot on the grid for the North Island championships.
In junior yamaha it was Alex Geary competing in this class and eventually arriving second overall for the meeting, setting fastest lap time in his class with a 40.517 over 4tenths of a second faster than eventual winner Daniel Kinsman!
The other was Josh Hart in senior lights, Josh also qualifying in second spot on the grid for the days racing.
Josh was also having some very encouraging heat results and getting faster through the day as it was his first time racing the yamaha class in over a year!
Josh was due to start in third spot for the final, but due to an accident in rotax max light final was unable to compete in the final.
This was very disappointing for Lascom Motorsport as we feel we could have placed on the podium or even won the event. Which would have been very good result on debut for the new Intrepid World Formula!
Lascom motorsport and Intrepid will be releasing two new frames in the near future.
